"Meet Elisabetta: The Sustainable Fashionista Behind EDB Studio"

Updated: Mar 10, 2023

I've always had a passion for fashion, but as an Aquarius with my own set of values, I didn't feel like fast fashion and trend dictations were suitable for me or my body. So, I turned to thrift shops as a sustainable and waste-free alternative. Every week, I discovered new amazing second-hand pieces that made me feel free and cosy. Some people picked out those clothes because they meant something to them, and that resonated with me.

Thrift shops used to collect a lot of rubbish, but nowadays, they are more selective and attract a different kind of audience. They collect high-quality vintage pieces and second-hand items, and I get excited when I find unique and timeless clothing. I'm fussy about finding the best fabric because I believe higher quality means a longer life for the clothing. I often find brand new designer clothes at bargain prices, which is amazing.

People started complimenting me on my fashion sense and asking for suggestions and styling tips. Most of them weren't considering second-hand clothing, so I took them to the usual shops but always suggested an alternative: second-hand clothes. They were amazed by the new world they discovered. I became known for my excellent style choices and realized I needed some academic credentials, so I'm now a certified personal shopper, but my passion for thrift clothing remains my focus.

My love for macrame was the beginning of my journey. I started creating home decor but soon moved onto women's accessories like handbags, chokers, tops, etc. In the end, fashion is the strongest pull for me, and sustainable fashion is a core value.

That's why I decided to create EDB Studio, offering services like personal thrift shopping, wardrobe organization, and custom-made macrame decor.
